Magnolia Game Calls was founded in the spring of 2002 by
Gary W. Joffrion, Jr., an avid turkey hunter. He was not content
with purchasing production line turkey calls at inflated prices and
could not afford very many custom calls. So, after many years of
tinkering with the idea of building his own calls, effort began.
Magnolia Game Calls was started with the concept to provide
hunters with custom built wood friction turkey calls at affordable
prices. Much time has gone into the development of just the right
combinations of components, to provide the most realistic tones
imaginable, so that no hunt is without excitement

Our slate type friction calls are built using Red Oak or Black
Walnut. There are three different calling surfaces glass, slate,
or aluminum to choose from. So that the hunter can produce
those exciting sounds, luring the most reclusive birds into
range. Each call comes with its own matched ol’ time custom
hand turned striker. Our box calls are built using several
variations and combinations of woods such as Sassafras,
Black Walnut, Butternut, Cherry, Honduras Mahogany,
Eastern Cedar, and Purple Heart. Every call carries a full
limited lifetime warranty against defects in material and
workmanship.
