"Two Paths Crossing"
"After two days of hunting henned up toms. I finally called this nice 3yr old in for a client. I used your Ambrosia Maple
Glass call for the rest of the season, taking 3 more gobblers. The outfitter I work for has used another callmakers for
17yrs and cant wait to get one of these that I have ordered. Keep up the good work."
"They look great. They are equal in quality to any I've used. I especially
like the sound of the slate with the birch striker. You make a great
product. I am taking pictures and sending to a couple of my buddies. I can't
wait to hit the woods with them. Thanks!!!"
"Gary, WOW! What a special call......This call is what I call a TOOL & DIE call. This is a fine turkey calling TOOL and
the turkeys are gonna DIE. Excellent is very aspect. The looks, craftsmanship, design, and oh, the turkey music it makes.
A 10 of 10. I have quiet a number of pot calls and this one is a very special call. I'm sure to GIT-R-Dunn this fall season
with it in PA. and Ohio. Thank You for such a great product."
"These are some of the prettiest laminates I've seen and great sounding too, you do some really sharp work, Gary."
"I have been a long time diaphragm user in the turkey woods, as well as on the competition stage. I have purchased many
of friction call but have found none to my liking (call me picky if you'd like). I have called in 5 toms into gun range for my
hunting buddies with your call. The sounds it produces have not only brought on turkeys attention, but also in a hurry.
Thank you for your time and your glass call"
"I got your calls a week ago. Wow they are great sounding. I think the glass is my favorite, and I am a slate man myself. I
honestly think it's the best glass call I have ever played. I like it better than 95% of the ones I make.... I think I will have
to go back to the drawing board on my glass calls. The slate one is great too, as good as any I have played."
"I got the calls in the mail. Man, I have to say they are some of the best I have seen and they will see some time in the
woods for sure. The Aluminum is the best aluminum I have heard period.... They all should sound this good. Most I
have heard was real scratchy and hard to run, but yours is easy and has great sound to it. The rounded bottom on the
glass fits my hand perfect. The slightly rounded feels good too. The slate will be perfect for tree calls and purrs. I WILL
be using them in contests from now on. When I show them to my buddy who also calls in contest you may get some
business. He purchased a crystal form another callmakers for $70 this past year. The glass you sent me is just as good
or better sounding than it was."
High quality, Great sounding calls, Thanks again
Best Sounding Call, I've bought in 4 years
Very pleased, Nice Quality Call. Thanks
Great pocket size call-sounds great !!!!
I got this call today played with it and I will take this to the woods
I must say it is a sweet sounding and great looking call!
Thank you. Your work is awesome and i am glad i got to see it up close!!
Hi Gary, what a surprise came in the mail today. This is a magnificent call, a top quality glueup, the turning, the laser work
and the finish. You really have come a long way. It's so beautiful I hate to scratch the glass! It's one of the prettiest calls
I've ever seen
Dear Gary,
Your package came in the mail yesterday and I want you to know that I have never
been more pleased with this call and the three strikers. You really do a fine job-the hand turned strikers are really fine
and all the strikers works great on your slate. The corn cob striker is incredible on this slate making it perhaps the best
slate and peg I have ever owned or used and I have about 12 calls of this type. I use a wingbone , box call, and mouth
calls a lot. But if I could only have one call and never use another it would be a slate. Gary - I do believe that with the
strikers this is the best slate call I have ever used. I have three slates that I have killed a lot of birds with over the years. I
have been at this since I was 22 years old and I will be 80 next Oct. I get my calls out a few nights each month to keep
the edge sharp. I know what a really good call should sound like and yours is perfect. It yelps high and low- makes
cutts real good. In short it is better than the three calls I thought were my best and I have killed a lot of birds (over the
years) with them. So Gary - there you have it. Thanks for the call of all calls.
Warmest Regards
P.W. Phillips
I got the calls the other day. Awesome. That is the best sounding slate
that I have ever heard, and it is good looking to match.
Got my other calls in this morning, beautiful work and they sound great
Just received the calls this morning, They look and sound great as usual.
Thanks again for a great looking and sounding call.
The call is Awesome! Thanks
Hi Gary,
Just wanted to let you know that I have been out and about putting your call to good use. I love this thing. I own allot
of fine Pot calls and I can honestly say I like this one the best. This year I decided to travel light. So I went through all
my Pot calls. Out of some 50 I own. I picked out Your Slate call, and another callmakers glass. I Never Used The
glass Call. I like your Slate Better. Gobblers Love it too. I will say one thing. I like the other callmakers Striker Better
than yours for really cranking it up. But Strikers are something different than the call itself. I owe several other makers
calls but that Little Maple Slate of yours in my opinion is my Favorite. It is the perfect balance of Rasp, Pitch, and
volume. It screams when you want it to, But it is something else for sweet talking too. It is not Honky, or to thin
sounding.
I brought along a couple of my Box calls too, and as it turned out I killed a 26 pound gobbler yesterday Using one of my
box calls, But I worked plenty of Gobblers with that little Slate of yours. I will be Hunting in NY State In May and
Your Slate will be with me. I will try and send some NY customers your way.
Thanks again,
Jerry Zebro
